It’s very funny, this thing called life.

You know, when you’ve achieved major milestones in life, only to realize you’ve been living one big lie.

The space of entering the unknown was terrifying for me, and it took hardship after hardship to find out how to trust myself again.

Through all of my challenges, trust is what I am learning a great deal about.

The challenges we face as we get older are often due to creating a life based around expectations of others and in the process, end up losing trust in ourselves. I think this might be the most significant mistakes people make in their lives — working to chase life and settling for something they don’t believe in at the expense of someone else’s dream.

Learning to trust life requires having the courage to listen to our hearts and intuitions. To go against the grain of life.

That requires discipline and consistency, and none of that is easy. But, there’s an incredible feeling we get when we understand that most of the time we are all winging it, and if we want to live a better life we need to stay true to ourselves.

I may appear to be disciplined, but I can assure you it is the act of trusting myself over the years, and showing up everyday that has given me strength to pull myself out of the darkest pits of hell.

As long as we trust ourselves, the universe will present us with challenges and opportunities that allow us to step into the invitation life has to offer.
