Much of my life was black and white.

Interestingly, not even a year into navigating the muddy waters of divorce, single dad life, and rebuilding my career, the entire world has been hit with a pandemic.

To me, it only seems like a logical response to this pandemic would be to take some time to reflect and think deep.

Funny how that works. Most of us are idealistic until we are forced to change.

The Corona Virus is something that many of us have only experienced or seen on the big screen. It requires us to drop our views of the world and live where the tension exists. The gray area of life.

On one side of the equation, I believe this virus is going to do a lot of things in the world, and many of them are unfortunate. There will be many deaths, the end of businesses, broken relationships, and more hardships than the world was ready for.

On the other side, this virus will give many of us infinite chances to live with the tension that lies between black and white. It will give us a new perspective that will serve us for the better as we face challenges life will continue to throw at us in the future.

It will build stronger warriors. It will build courageous leaders. It will build better lovers.

We all have a unique gift that is waiting to be presented to the world, but it can only be found in the gray. So let’s look for the gray and find inspiration and passion for life because life isn’t black and white and maybe this is a wake up call that many of us need.
